Here are some pictures of what we've been up to. Oscar did the Quarter on Matt. Gailon did the Rose on Shad as well as the Virgin Mary on the arm. The girl head on the back is Luis and he also did the signage. We've all huddled up and are trying to hold it down through Christmas and into the new year. Thank you all for helping us kick ass and stay afloat.
Another week
Got to do another Sugar Skull and colour in a rose that I did on Chris a while back. Was good fun and we should be doing more work on his upper arm soon

This is on my friend Jay's foot to celebrate The Day of the Dead, just a fun little one to do
This next one just got completed this morning, it's on Sam and I think it turned out really well. Some bits are fresh but the Blue robe is all healed up
This last one is on Stacey who also has the Owl and the Pussycat in a fancy frame as well, really looking forward to finishing it off
And also I've just started this massive back piece on Paul and I'll get a better picture when we get the next session laid down

Jill's Birds and Flowers - Part Two
Jill sent me some imagery of old Japanese woodcut prints and Chinese bird and flower paintings. Here's some description of what she wanted from our initial correspondence: "Flowers - I love them. I'm a gardener. I like how perennials "die" in the winter and come back in the spring. I like cycles of life/death/rebirth. renewal. I like the idea of birds as symbols of freedom and their ability to take off and rise into the sky to see things from a completely different perspective than a human's very limited one." "Part Two" of this blog post is the second section, which flows down her arm. One more short session to tighten everything up, clean up lines, and adjust values.
